Even though it’s merely a rumour, you are allowed to have those wet fantasy comic dreams every once in a while…
“In 1996, Larry Page and Sergey Brin were Stanford University graduate students, working on their Digital Library Project, later known as Google. They needed a lot of storage, and the largest hard disk available was 4 gigabytes. So they connected ten of them together and built their own 40GB drive, in a case made of of Legos. It is now on display at the Stanford University Museum”

If you need some inspiration for your Fall mixtapes, Bon Iver is the answer. Bon Iver is the one-man band of Justin Vernon and his critically acclaimed debut album “For Emma, Forever Ago” came out in Europe the beginning of 2008 and is ideal for all folk-indie lovers. Pitchfork diggs it and so do I!
Recently, Daytrotter posted some live tracks and they are truly amazing! Be sure to get out there and catch him on stage. Here’s playing a couple of gigs in Denmark in September (September 20th at Voxhall, Århus and September 25th at Vega, Copenhagen).
Here’s a performance of the track “Lump Sum” taken from Pitchfork.tv! There’s probably more on Pitchfork.tv, so get started!
Personally, a highly recommended artist and one of the best albums of the year!
A couple of posts ago I mentioned nialler9’s July podcast. This mix contains the Grizzly Bear track “Two Weeks” from their 2007-ep “Friend” live at Letterman. Here’s their performance…
Brilliant!
